Debbie Hands’ children all attended Paignton Community and Sports Academy, which is how she got involved with the previous governing body in 2010. More recently, she has become the Chair of the LGAB, with the portfolio link for Teaching and Learning.

Debbie also has the Development Plan monitoring responsibility for Teaching for Progress and Outcomes.

Cilla Wilson has been part of the governing body at Paignton Community and Sports Academy for a number of years and transitioned across to the LGAB when the governing bodies amalgamated.

Cilla has the portfolio link for Safeguarding, working with Jane Thompson.

Jane Thompson is a teacher at a local primary school and has been involved with the governing body of Paignton Community and Sports Academy since her son started at the academy.

She has the portfolio responsibility for Safeguarding and responsibility for monitoring Careers in the PCSA Development Plan.

Clare Taylor

Clare Taylor has been with the governing body at Kings Ash for over seven years, now the LGAB, having children at both Kings Ash Academy and Paignton Community and Sports Academy. She is an active member of the Kings Ash Academy Parent Forum.

Clare has the portfolio for Health and Safety, and the responsibility for monitoring “Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment” on the Kings Ash Development Plan.

Julie Moseley

Julie Moseley used to work with Paignton Community and Sports Academy when she worked with Young Adult Carer students. She, along with Ros Ryman, has the portfolio link of attendance.

 

Julie has a background in local government, housing, criminal justice and the NHS.

Helen Hughes

Helen is a lecturer at both South Devon College and Exeter College.

Helen has a portfolio responsibility for safeguarding the Trust primary academies.
